🔷 ABOUT THE TEAM AND PROJECT

You will join an NMP Notifications Team in Poland – this team is responsible for a notifications platform , pushing more than 100 million notifications each day. Many teams already use the Notifications platform as an essential building block to reach their business goals, and we believe its importance will only grow. We also own a frontend part of it. The team consists of a Product Manager, Engineering Manager, one UX, and three developers. Pair programming and thorough code reviews are a part of our work.

Some key technologies we use: Kotlin for the backend, React for frontend, Kafka for communication between services, Postgres DB, Kubernetes , Travis , and Google Cloud Platform.

You will collaborate closely with the Product Manager, UX, and other teams to understand the needs and requirements. Your goal will be to design, develop and improve our services to provide a smooth notifications experience – for our users to perform successful transactions and for our developers to create and measure the effects of notifications.

🔷 ABOUT YOU

We're looking for a strong regular or senior backend developer. An additional advantage for us would be a keen interest in JavaScript and React , for the development of the frontend part of the app as well.

You should have:

• Experience with backend development using Kotlin (ideally) or Java (with a strong motivation to learn and use Kotlin )

• Broad knowledge of the Spring Boot framework

• Knowledge of SQL , especially PostgreSQL

• Understanding of system design principles

• Passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies

• Understanding of concepts and optionally an experience with continuous deployment and testing

• Good English skills (written and spoken)

• Optionally: frontend experience with JavaScript and React

Please note that we are seeking candidates open to a hybrid work model, requiring two days per week at our Kraków office, conveniently located right next to the main train station.
