Northvolt is looking for an energetic and dedicated Director of Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding to take over and continue building Northvolt's Talent Acquisition Strategy and existing team of ambitious recruiters and managers.

About the Job

As the leader of the team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding strategies for Northvolt. You will spearhead and execute a talent strategy that aligns with our scale-up needs as well as strengthen and manage our team of recruiters which spans over Europe. You will also play an important role in identifying and engaging with top talent to support the growth of the entire organization. Finally, you will work closely with our employer branding team to identify projects and events to increase candidate engagement with Northvolt.

About the Team

The Talent Acquisition team is instrumental to the company's success as our responsibility lies in finding the right talent that will positively contribute to the electrification of Europe. As a united, ambitious, dedicated, and quality-focused team, we work together to source, strategize and plan what is needed to find superstars. The team consists of a tight-knit international group with different levels of seniority and professional backgrounds. In just 6 years, our team has brought together almost 4000 candidates from all over the world; the expectation for the Director role is that you will keep driving the team towards success and support the development of its members.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Northvolt’s growth plan
  • Continue building and managing the team
  • Support with sourcing for senior leadership roles across our sites
  • Continue developing, improving, and implementing Talent Acquisition processes and procedures
  • Partner with senior management to understand the needs of the business and subsequently map out where the talent can be found.
  • Maintain and strengthen the relationship with the rest of the People and Growth organization
  • Support ongoing work to build and maintain a strong employer brand
  • Manage the talent acquisition budget and contracts with external suppliers
  • Stay up to date on hiring trends and best practices

Skills & Requirements

To succeed in this role we believe you have

  • 10-12 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a focus on senior leadership roles
  • Experience with 360 recruitment from mapping out industries to source from, to closing candidates.
  • 4 years of experience leading and scaling a team of recruiters
  • Sector-specific knowledge of talent acquisition in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or adjacent industries and related hiring trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with hiring managers and candidates
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Personal qualities that we cherish are flexibility, a sense of quality, friendliness, motivation to take on new challenges, grit, and a sense of humor
