Product Owner - Video Streaming

Job Description

Purpose of the role

• You will be part of our Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) Product team to bring award-winning products and services to market, building the best TV experience.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to own the vision, define the strategy and roadmap; balancing business needs, technological advancements and user expectations.
• You will be responsible for define, prioritize and maintain product-backlogs and drive timely delivery of new features aligned with product strategy.
• Write user-stories with clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Accept or reject completed work from the development/UX teams, verifying that the work meets the acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
• Set sprint goals and plan releases and upgrades.
• Continually refine and groom the backlog to ensure readiness for upcoming sprints.
• Assist to daily meetings when needed, working together with other teams to build the best TV experience.
• Work closely with Project Managers to define sprint goals and facilitate effective sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
• Follow success KPIs and analyse metrics to improve product and reduce friction.
• Stay ahead of the curve regarding changes and trends in the Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV development.

To be succesful in this role, you must have:

• Previous working experience as a Product Owner , Business Analyst, or a similar role in a tech company in the video streaming industry for +3 years.
• Strong understanding and experience with Agile frameworks and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• Proven demonstrated experience creating great user-centred solutions on digital products (desirable media related).
• Deep knowledge of professional and consumer media technologies and a passion for thoughtful design-driven consumer centric products.
• Product backlog management (prioritization and refinement).
• User stories creation (writing, defining acceptance criteria, splitting).
• Background dealing with different stakeholders.
• C1/C2 in Spanish + English level.

It would be great if you:

• Love product development — the collaborative process of many teams, including engineering, QA, UX/UI, working together to create something awesome for people to use.
• Are familiar with TV Technologies (streaming, drm).
• Have QA experience.
