We are looking for a experienced and driven Quality Control Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing the right capability and capacity for the CAM Quality Control Lab in Västerås, including setting objectives and leading the team.
About the job
As a Quality Control Manager in Västerås, you will lead a team of about 20 individuals working in Quality Control of cathode material. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and monitoring our quality work at Northvolt Labs. You will support and guide the QC-team in quality-related issues to support objectives achievement in terms of developing our QC-lab and ensure that standards are followed. You will have both wage-earners and salaried employees reporting to you.

About the team
The CAM process-team is an agile, dynamic, and autonomous team of skilled QC-engineers and specialists who work together, seeking common goals. We are looking for team players who are curious and want to have a real impact on our success story. Our organization requires and values great self-discipline and talents who make things happen.
The team is working in Northvolt Labs in Västerås, which is our R&D production facility. In this specific role, you will manage this diverse team and help structuring ways of working.
Key responsibilities include ( but are not limited to)
- Responsible for keeping an up-to-date budget of instruments, equipment, chemicals and tools needed in the QC-lab
- Responsible for competence and professional development of team-members in the QC-team to enable them performing their best
- Ensure the QC-team deploys effective KPI’s and objectives and that performance is systematically evaluated and improved
- Responsible for method validation, maintenance and calibration of the instruments, control and inspection SOP’s and training
- Provide leadership and technical expertise within Quality Control & Inspection
- Drive development of new innovative technology for characterisation, such as analysis automation
- Work with ISO9001 and IATF16949 to ensure that the standards are followed in the lab and that the personnel understand and implement them.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have
- MSc in e.g. Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in quality control
- Experienced in developing new analytical and control methods
- Experienced in working with standards e.g. ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO17025
- Minimum of 3 years of previous leadership experience
Specific skills
- Excellent English proficiency
- Knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Identification and Risked Based approaches
