Would you like to join a growing leading Nordic Media Company?
Blocket and Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces (NMP) are looking for a driven and experienced Business Controller to join our Nordic FP&A team.
In NMP we are currently in a very exciting change process. As industry trends show increased vertical specialisation, we have made the bold decision to join forces across the Nordics and become Nordic specialists within each of our verticals: Recommerce, Real estate, Mobility and Jobs. On 1 January 2023, we went live with our new Nordic organisation where we are organised around our verticals across Nordics rather than around our countries. This ensures that the verticals have the autonomy and strength to deliver the best solutions to the market, just like the vertical specialists we compete with.
Our marketplaces have unique and strong positions as market leaders, with DBA and Bilbasen in Denmark, FINN in Norway, Blocket in Sweden, and Tori and Oikotie in Finland. Together we make up Nordic Marketplaces in Schibsted, collectively connecting millions of buyers and sellers every month. Whether you want to buy a car, a new home, find a job or want a pair of new shoes, you can turn to us.
About the role
As Business Controller in NMP you will be part of our cross-vertical Nordic FP&A team with colleagues in Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway. You will report to the Director FP&A, Nordic Marketplaces, based in Stockholm.
In this role you will drive various financial processes and projects across NMP and be a business partner to selected functions.
You will prepare decision material for managers, presentations, management reporting and business plans.
Tasks included but not limited to:

Manage and execute periodic reports and ad-hoc analysis for key stakeholders, functions, management team and Schibsted Group
Drive and contribute to financial processes such as Rolling forecast, Target and Long Term Plan

A great, modern office in central Stockholm

The Blocket journey began in Skåne 1996 - since then the concept of Blocket has been exported to over 40 other countries. Today, Blocket, which is owned by the media group Schibsted, is Sweden’s largest online marketplace. There are approximately 600 000 items, vehicles, jobs and housing being advertised and discovered by its 5 million visitors every week. The value for all advertisements in 2018 amounted to SEK 714 billion - equal to 15 percent of Sweden’s GDP. Thanks to second-hand trading at Blocket, 0.8 million tonnes of greenhouse gases can be avoided every year. The output being equivalent to if Stockholm’s city roads stood empty for about a year. Blocket has approximately 240 colleagues and the office is located in central Stockholm. Together, we are passionate about second-hand trading, the environment and the continued growth of Blocket - one of Sweden’s largest sites.
