As a Project Manager - Product & Technology Strategy you will work in a cross-functional highly motivated team to develop, maintain and continuously improve Northvolt product and technology strategy to maintain cost and technology leadership for our ambitious plans forward.

You will also collaborate with the Northvolt R&D programs in Europe and worldwide to deploy and leverage Northolt’s Product Technology Roadmap. Your responsibilities will extend into both shaping new strategies as well as driving and executing initiatives to increase performance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Drive and manage, together with various functions within Northvolt, development of key technology and efficiency strategies for improvement through initiatives such as (but not limited to):

  • Collaborate with Cell Development Projects, R&D and Advanced Material and Process as well as corporate strategy and advanced purchasing to update and upgrade the Northvolt Product Technology Roadmap
  • Co-develop technology strategies to secure and extend Northvolt’s technology and cost leadership
  • Develop and drive standards within technologies and processes for Northvolt’s future products
  • Drive value engineering initiatives and seek continuous improvement together with Process Engineers, Cell Design, Advanced Process and Advanced Materials team
  • Manage the timeline of Product Technology Roadmap upgrades and present your results to all management levels
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in the organisation; evaluate new technologies and advise the organisation on appropriate investments.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications/education/experience

  • A relevant university degree (M.Sc. or similar). Engineering, Material Science or other technical background

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in both technical as well as strategic roles in demanding fast past environment

  • Strong technical, project management and/or management experience within roles such as (but not limited to): Technology Management, Technical Project Management, Management Consulting (with a technical background)

  • Industrialisation experience preferably battery, chemical or other relevant industry – In addition: automotive background is a plus

  • Valuable experience in multi-cultural environment

  • Fluency in English

  • Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages (Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Chinese, French)
