PR and Partnership Lead

At Once Upon we have an exciting opportunity to join our brilliant Marketing team as a substitute PR & Partnership Lead. You will be in charge of our international public relations, focusing on building and developing us as a strong and consistent brand in the public eye. About the role
As our PR & Partnership Lead your main responsibility will be to produce effective external communication, both proactively and reactively, ensuring it is aligned with Once Upon’s communication strategy, business strategy and brand. You will be responsible for managing ongoing partnerships, and initiate new exciting ones, that help build our brand together with others who go hand in hand with our values to build Once Upon’s brand. You will also lead the strategic development as well as operate hands-on activities within the field of PR on a global market.

You will be part of our Marketing Area and will have more than 15 experienced and committed colleagues to bounce your out-of-the-box ideas with. We’re looking for someone who can start 2023-09-01 and be with us for a year with the possibility of extension.

What you’ll do:

  • Identify and produce relevant communication to the press and media.

  • Follow and develop the PR strategy, ensuring that it is in line with the overall business strategy and other communication.

  • Generate ideas, research and production of written content.

  • Identify interesting stories and new angles within Once Upon and create interest in relevant media and the public eye.

  • Follow-up and analyze outcome from PR activities.

  • Initiate innovative brand building concept, for Once Upon alone and with partnerships, aligning with our brand strategy to put Once Upon in exciting new contexts.

  • Connect with PR agencies in different markets and coordinate the work to ensure maximum effect and use of our PR channels.

  • Build and develop relationships with representatives of relevant media channels and other possible partners.

  • Proactively monitor global markets to conduct efficient and purposeful PR.

Your background

  • Preferably, you have a degree within marketing, communication or PR.

  • You are a specialist in consumer PR and you probably have experience from PR at a strategic and operational level.

  • You have knowledge of PR strategies and it's a plus if you have experience working with digital market analysis tools.

  • You have excellent English and Swedish communication.

  • It is a plus if you have international experience, for example with PR in Germany.

Our headquarters are located in Skellefteå, in the North of Sweden. We also have offices in Piteå, Örnsköldsvik and Stockholm. We are remote flexible, but we value the creativeness and sense of community that follows from meeting face to face with colleagues. For this role we're looking for someone for either the Stockholm or Skellefteå office where the rest of the marketing colleagues are located.
