Would you like to deepen your tech skills in a growing and top-innovative company with a tangible impact in consumer cyber security? We are ramping up our technical capabilities of our fresh ‘Protection Platform’ team by hiring a Lead Cloud Developer. The main objective of our team is building and strengthening our cloud ecosystem that identifies and catches malicious URLs and files that threatens the security of our customers. Our systems are widely utilizing AWS, and developed with DevOps/SRE mindset, CI/CD, self-healing, elasticity and all that jazz. How often is there a chance to build big scale back–end systems while knowing they make a difference – securing digital moments that consumers, like you and me, experience online?

We are looking for people who have a common interest in cloud development to build a green field massive scale system, serving tens of billions request monthly, backed up by a metadata analysis system. You can be a developer looking for career progression or perhaps a seasoned cloud professional searching for the next technical challenge to tackle. As a Cloud Developer in our Protection Platform team, you'll get to:

• participate in designing and developing serverless microservices running on AWS infrastructure and considering aspects as maintainability, cost, performance and simplicity
• participate in designing and developing metadata and analysis system
• build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous and safe deployments
• work with other teams to understand the problem domain and find right-level-of-abstractions that get translated into microservices
• managing support queries from other teams
• optimizing and automating production monitoring and logging
• continuously evaluate better ways to serve the needs, e.g. by leveraging AWS services or other 3rd-party SaaS over inhouse implementation

You will work closely and get support from your team members, but also other development teams and functions to build the best fit-for-purpose service.

Our 'Protection Platform’ team is in Helsinki, Finland. The team’s purpose is to provide an answer for a simple question, 'Is this safe', for F-Secure's products and partners. The question is simple, but when repeated billions of times for millions of different objects, it requires a lot of engineering work and talent to make it in a cost effective and performant manner. We have flexible remote work practices, but our team enjoys gathering at the office every now and then for team building and co-working. We hope this is something you would enjoy as well.

You should leave us your details if you have:

• Experience in software development with Python backends for high performance system
• Working-life experience with managed and serverless AWS cloud services with IaC tooling like CDK
• You enjoy working in a team environment: you communicate effective about technical details and have an ever-curious attitude towards your work. On the other hand we strive to ensure an inclusive, open and warm team environment, where everyone's opinions and ideas are valued and appreciated.
• Language skills in English (our organisation language is English)
• Willingness to relocate to Finland if you are currently not living here
