Skills & Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to use and access FC SPMS, FC MMS, Loopon, QDMS, Visionline, Bazeport, Pronto Publish, MyMicros, Report Center, Sharepoint, Teams, Microsoft Office, Moodplayer (music system), OCS-COB, Jira/Wedoit to retrieve information needed and distribute to crew as needed.
  • Ensures a high-level of organization, service and complete guest satisfaction onboard.
  • Responsible for ship's accounting including invoicing HQ, cash expenses and currency handling.
  • Follow up reception in relation to guest- safety, registration, relations, handling (complaints/compliments) and sales.
  • Keep updated on feedback through Loopon.
  • Meet with the Night Receptionist to check last night’s issues or reports, check if all accounts are closed and everything is charged correctly.
  • Organize debarkation and embarkation duties as needed, including luggage assistance, guest escorting, check-in stations, collaborate with medical team and any other embarkation related duty.
  • Voyage preparation with cruise manifests, cabin allocations etc.
  • Plan and optimize cabins and suites for next voyage.
  • Communicating hygiene and Public Health instructions and logs to crew according to company policy and VSP requirements.

  • Inspect all outlets that are about to open, set ups and service standards.

  • Training of all crew under supervision, by walk through of working areas and overview of operations, meaning hands on training.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Experienced leader in Guest Services from on-board cruise or Expedition vessels
  • Experience of working with multiple systems

  • Must be fluent in English written and verbally, Norwegian and German an advantage

  • Outstanding knowledge of Vessel Sanitation Program regulations and procedures

  • Must be able to adapt to a fast pace changing working environment
  • Knowledge of general office practices, procedures and equipment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interact with senior-level management and owner representatives
