Are you passionate about improving environmental performance in business? Ethos now offers an exciting position as a sustainability consultant specialised in environmental issues. In your role, you will support clients with e.g., decarbonization capabilities, work closely with clients to identify and implement solutions to environmental problems, formulating science-based targets, build a knowledge base in sustainability and expand your network of sustainability practitioners.
About the role
As a sustainability consultant and project manager within environmental affairs, you will work in the Corporate Sustainability team. The team works with a broad range of topics, such as evaluating and calculating taxonomy alignment for funds and listed companies, Due diligence, establishing science-based targets, implementing, and identifying climate strategies, collecting, calculating, and consolidating data for sustainability reports (GRI, TFCD, SASB, SDGs). The team works on a project basis, often together with Ethos’ other experts in areas such as sustainable finance, sustainability reporting and human rights. You will work operationally in all the phases of the different projects. Below are some examples of tasks:

Research, project management, analytical work and report writing

Calculate taxonomy alignment for funds, portfolios, and listed companies

Develop climate strategies according to the greenhouse gas protocol.

Assess risks according to TCFD and produce TCFD reports

Write policies and guiding documents

Develop Science-Based Targets for companies in various industries and sectors, including GHG calculations and development of action plans

Impact assessment of companies’ impact on biodiversity, water risk assessments and circular economy.

Skills & Requirements
For the best fit and possibility of development within the company, we believe you have some of the following qualities:

+3 years of work experience within the environmental segment of sustainability
-
Have a good understanding of what challenges and opportunities the business world faces when it comes to sustainability, above all linked to the environment and climate, as well as the implementation of various sustainability-related frameworks and regulations and standards.

Experience and understanding of climate calculations according to the GHG Protocol, Science-based targets or risk analyzes according to TCFD and/or EU Taxonomy.

Experience in project management

Ability to work with many different types of projects in parallel.
