Are you interested in deepening your knowledge in the security aspects of home networks? We are looking for a Product Owner for our connected home security product F-Secure SENSE! In this influential role you will get to impact and cheer the success of our product development by working together with self-oriented and talented mix of diverse professionals who have a SENSE of belonging to a community with a mission of making world a safer place, for everyone.

As our Product Owner, you are an important link between the product development and its business strategy, enabling seamless communication flow during development processes. You are a key player in product development, interfacing with different stakeholders: the product manager, UX and service design, business development and the software development teams. One of the key activities is ensuring execution of the capabilities expressed by the product backlog, managing the development team's work, and facilitating process improvement. This role is located in Helsinki, Finland.

What is F-Secure SENSE about?

SENSE protects all the home’s internet-enabled devices from cyber-attacks and threats, not only computers and phones, but also smart TVs, gaming consoles, baby monitors and other IoT devices. The main elements in the SENSE solution include an agent that is integrated with target routers, apps for Android and iOS and several cloud services. Watch our SENSE video here.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate discussions for technical architecture, design, testing and development work of the SENSE product
• Acting as a dignified technical product lead towards internal and external stakeholders
• Working with our router partners to provide technical expertise with the help of our professional integration engineers
• Managing the backlog, priorities and progress follow-up of the development teams
• Facilitate the daily and weekly planning sessions and steer the R&D machine towards the common business goals
• Provide input/take action on improving team velocity
• Helping teams with their day-to-day collaborative activities

What are we looking for?

• Experience in software product development in different functions

• A successful track record of managing product backlogs, representing the voice of diverse stakeholders, and helping the development team to stay aligned with the product roadmap

• Understanding of software development process, esp. agile methodologies like Kanban, Scrum and SAFE

• Ability to take initiative and drive projects independently

• Attention to detail and not losing sight of the big picture
• You enjoy influencing others and working closely with different stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
• Fluent language skills in English as our organisation language is English.
