About the team

Before buying or selling something in any of our marketplaces, many users require financial services such as loans, insurances or guarantees. Our dedicated Personal Finance team is here to help make that part of the journey as easy, frictionless and enlightened as possible through partnerships with banks and insurance companies. We are transforming from “bulletin boards” to transactional journeys, where financial services such as these are an essential part of our user’s experience.

We have years of experience, and have steadily grown the number of people using our services and the revenue we generate in FINN. As we have joined forces with other leading marketplaces in the Nordics, we are excited to bring our successful initiatives to new markets and strengthen our position in FINN at the same time. _ _What you will be doing
As our Engineering Manager for the Personal Finance tech-team, you will be leading a team of five highly skilled colleagues that shows great respect for each other and work collaboratively towards common goals.

As we are a small team, you must be comfortable working hands-on in other areas based on experience. This could include working in tech, with insights and analytics, reporting, SEO, product or UX.

Who are you?

If you are a technical person, you might find our tech stack interesting! Our current stack is built on Scala and Vue, but as a part of the larger FINN ecosystem, we occasionally interact with other stacks such as Java/Kotlin/React/Go/Python/Haskell etc. Our Apps are deployed to Google Cloud using Kubernetes.

As a person you

• Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to inspire and align everyone towards common goals.

• Work experience from a few different companies; you have some history to draw on and insights to lend.

• Are proactive and curious, you love to try new solutions and iterate to find the best outcomes.

• Are outgoing and able to build networks, not afraid to reach out to remove blockers or offer help.

• Identify and seize commercial opportunities, creating a strong positive impact on business growth and profitability.

• Creates a stable and supportive work atmosphere, providing encouragement and guidance during challenging times while maintaining reliability and accountability.
