Senior Software Engineer (German Speaker)

Sword Services Greece is seeking to recruit energetic individuals to join our international team in Vienna as Senior Software Engineer. The successful candidates will work in a multicultural environment supporting our core business in large Information Systems for the European Commission.

What you will do...

We are seeking a consultant who will be responsible for implementing, configuring, adapting, and rolling out software solutions for our organization's Information System. The candidate will be tasked with the following day-to-day responsibilities:

• Implementing and configuring software solutions using CMS and Drupal/PHP/JavaScript;

• Designing and developing front-end and back-end functionalities using PHP, Java, and JavaScript;

• Collaborating with team members to develop cloud-based infrastructure and networking solutions;

• Developing networking policies, load balancers (LBs), deployment strategies, and cluster security solutions for cloud-based systems;

• Creating and maintaining Docker-files, Jenkins-files, and Helm charts for software development projects;

• Configuring and implementing security solutions, including OAuth2/OpenID Connect, TLS, PKCS, and Keycloak;

• Developing and integrating APIs, such as REST, OpenAPI, CMIS, and STOMP;

• Managing and manipulating data storage using JSON, JsonSchema, XML, XSLT, DTD, SQL, and PDF;

• Managing SQL and non-SQL databases such as MongoDB or MySQL;

• Working with cloud platforms like GCP and AWS to deploy and maintain software applications.

What is your experience...

• Proven track record of at least 7 to 10 years in software development;

• Exceptional German language skills, with at least C2 level proficiency or native fluency

• Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing software solutions using CMS, Drupal, and programming languages such as PHP and JavaScript;

• Proficiency in front-end and back-end development using PHP, Java, and JavaScript to design and develop complex software functionalities;

• In-depth knowledge of security protocols including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, TLS, PKCS, and Keycloak, and the ability to integrate them into software solutions;

• Strong experience with REST, OpenAPI, CMIS, and STOMP APIs to develop and integrate applications and systems;

• Extensive experience working with data formats including JSON, JsonSchema, XML, XSLT, DTD, SQL, and PDF to manipulate and manage large sets of data;

• In-depth understanding of both SQL and non-SQL databases such as MongoDB and MySQL, and the ability to effectively manage, integrate and maintain them in software applications;

• Proven expertise in cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS, including proficiency in deploying and managing cloud-based software systems and infrastructure.
