System Engineer
Sword Services Greece is seeking to recruit a high caliber, energetic individual to join our team as System Engineer. The successful candidate will work in a multinational environment on a multitude of tasks supporting our client's business in large International Information Systems. What you will do...
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of systems and services;
- Participate in the design, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure;
- Configure storage, servers, fabric switches and systems, Microsoft servers (Cluster Services, File Services, Active directory Services, Certificate Authority services), Virtual Infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V), Linux and AIX Servers, infrastructure Kubernetes clusters, storages and backup systems;
- Deploy new operating systems and features, middle ware applications as well as provide enhancements to existing applications and software;
- Daily maintenance of the systems (e.g., patching, upgrading, scripting for automations, monitoring through corporate available tools, etc.) ;
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
What is your experience...
- University/College Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or relevant technology field;
- A proven record of 3-5 years working experience on administration of IT System Infrastructure with a mixed of Windows/Linux and Virtual/Cloud environment;
- Excellent experience in development, systems’ implementation and applications;
- Good Knowledge of OS (Windows, LINUX, AIX, Virtualized environments & Kubernetes);
- Knowledge of cloud system technologies as Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS will be considered as a plus;
- Experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices;
- Experience in ticketing systems (e.g., Jira);
- Excellent command of the Greek & English language, both written and spoken;
- Completed military obligations for male candidates.
