Microsoft SQL DBA

We are looking for a Microsoft SQL DBA with 2+ years of experience to join our IT Operations team distributed in several locations in Europe. As a Junior/Mid Microsoft SQL DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining the company's database systems, ensuring their availability, security, and scalability
and for troubleshooting problems that could arise.

You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that the databases meet the needs of our e-commerce business.


  • Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL database systems
  • Monitor database daily transactions, status and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Monitor OS, act upon errors and alerts
  • Perform diagnostics, testing, troubleshooting of software, OS, database issues, data problems
  • Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry regulations
  • Cooperate with teams while backup and recovery actions, ensure data integrity and availability
  • Collaborate with developers to show them long running queries, locks, transactions which ones could be created better
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline database administration tasks
  • Document database systems, procedures, and best practices

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience providing technical support, database administration and operations
  • 2+ years experience with SQL usage
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, design, and administration
  • Experience with troubleshooting and taking proper action to solve the problem
  • Knowledge and experience connected with security, backup and recovery process
  • Knowledge and experience with HA, SQL Server clusters
  • Good in T-SQL scripting and basic knowledge with PowerShell scripting
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
