We are building a new team and are looking for experienced project managers to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our growing Validation Projects team and is based in Västerås. By joining us, you will drive projects across all validation areas from project start to start of production. And you will work together with great colleagues to develop our tools and methods to execute projects within the Validation Group.

About the job
As a Validation Project Manager, you will be responsible for one or more projects within the Validation Group. You will coordinate the validation project team and ensure that we plan, prepare, execute and evaluate all required tests during cell development. You will be a key interface to other departments within R&D and industrialization and towards our customers.

About the team
You will be part of the Validation project management team and will work in close collaboration with all areas of the validation Group and other departments within cell development. Validation Group has more than 100 team members and covers all test areas from early material development and advanced engineering until mass production. The Validation project management team was established recently to ensure close alignment within the Validation Group and ensure that we can cover all project tests in the most efficient way.

About you
A great Validation Project Manager at Northvolt has a genuine interest in technology, likes to collaborate with others and has the ability to handle many topics at the same time without losing focus. We are looking for someone that wants to help us build this new team and shape the way we organize validation projects. Finally, we are looking for a positive mindset, someone who can evaluate complex situations and set priorities and a can-do attitude to achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • you will lead the validation project team and ensure close collaboration among all team members
  • you will be the main interface to the customer project manager and handle project reporting and escalations
  • validation project timelines and budget will be your responsibility
  • you will establish and maintain meaningful relationships with relevant key players across the organization

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • University degree in Engineering, electrochemistry or similar
  • 2+ years working experience in product development
  • 2+ years working experience in project management
  • Excellent English written and oral skills

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in test and validation
  • Experience in battery development
  • Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)
  • Experience from a start-up company
