Software Engineering Manager ETT Data Team

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join and lead the Data Team at the Northvolt Ett gigafactory in Skellefteå, Sweden. Our factories produce large amounts of heterogenous data that get uploaded to our cloud platform, and are then processed, organized, and ready for analysis. The Data Team partners cross-functionally with all teams in the factory, driving data-driven manufacturing operations. You will work closely with Quality, Process Engineering, Production, Lean Manufacturing, and Maintenance.
The ETT Data team is part of the ETT IT & Digitalization Organization. You will also represent the Ett factory in collaboration with the central Digitalization organisation, and help prioritize capabilities in the Data Platform.

Key responsibilities include
- Lead a Data Team of Data Analysts, Data Analytics Engineers, and Data Scientists through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
- Drive and be accountable for technical delivery. Work with your team on strategy, roadmap and execution
- Champion an effective data culture through collaboration with other leaders in the Ett organization
- Establish, collaborate with and grow cross-functional teams leveraging data throughout the factory operations
- You'll work with others to shape how Northvolt’s data ecosystem works — you'll help develop our technical practices, recruiting and onboarding strategy, planning and prioritization process, and more.
- Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
- Advocate operational excellence and grow the technical expertise of the team

Preferred Experience
- Communication, communication, communication. You communicate fluently and humbly with all types of different humans choosing effective methods based on context, audience and purpose
- Proven track record of hiring, developing and growing people
- Experience from technical data role (Data Analytics, Data Scientist)
- Experience from large (manufacturing) enterprises with heterogeneous and distributed data across many domains
Not Required (bonus points)
- [Bonus] Experience with cloud data processing, storage, quality, and management on GCP or AWS
- [Bonus] Engineering foundation understanding (electro/mechanical/chemical/physical)
