THIS IS THE JOB
- You become a team member of a new division created beginning 2021 tackling end2end embedded software engineering for Automotive electronic control units
- You support the foundation and operation of the center of Excellence for Automotive Software Engineering and contribute to technical, administrative and organizational topics
- You will be a core team member in a team responsible for the design and the implementation of Android Applications and framework across all layers according to our customer's needs, Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability, as well as the elicitation of Software Requirements with external and internal customers.
THIS IS WHAT WE NEED
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar subject / area.
- Prof. experience in the automotive engineering industry.
- Familiarity with Android OS and Android Automotive OS.
- Experience in developing Android applications, embedded systems, and automotive systems with at least one infoainment or Mobility Experience Domain, e.g. projected mode, audio processing, speech incl. third party speech assistant platforms, connectivity, etc.
- Experience in one or more of the following languages Java, Kotlin, C/C++ or other programming languages used in Android development.
- Good understanding of Android Automotive OS architecture and framework (AOSP, Binder IPC, Application framework) and its integration with automotive systems.
- Experience with Android Studio and/or other Android development tools.
- Knowledge in POSIX compatible Operating Systems.
- Familiarity with Android Build System(Make, Soong, etc..).
- Experience in developing one or more of the following: UX/UI, Android Middleware software, HAL, Linux Kernel, Drivers, Android BSP, Native frameworks (C++), etc..

Good understanding of Linux system with multiprocess communication(dBus and/or SOME/IP) and debugging skills.

Added advantage: Knowledge and hands on working experience on any of the following :

Experience in CARPlay

Familiarity with Android Auto and Google Play Services for Automotive.

Experience in working with audio and video codecs.
