We want a new Head of Tech for Data, Analytics & Financial Processes to check in with us in Stockholm, Sweden!

We’re reorganizing our Tech Department to prepare for the future and building a strong team to take care of everything related to Data, Analytics & Financial Processes. We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative leader to manage and grow a team of mainly Data Engineering & BI people and System Specialist & IT Service Managers for our finance products.

We have a good technical platform, built on Snowflake and hosted in Azure. We use Matillion, Python and SQL. For the financial parts, we use products such as Dynamics 365, Basware, Adra et.c.

Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Lead and build a team of:
    • Data Engineers, BI developers & Tech Leads focusing on our data platform
    • IT Service Managers, and System Specialists working with our finance-related products
  • The role requires strong leadership skills - you are an experienced and warm leader. It involves roadmap planning, strategy development, and team management.
  • Stakeholder management is a key responsibility
  • Your main focus initially will be on system solutions for data and analytics, leading the journey to build a data-driven Scandic, develop a data-driven culture and organization, and continue to improve our technical platform. This includes expertise in areas such as data architecture, data analytics, data governance, and data management.
  • Implement and improve our applications for controlling and forecasting
  • Setting relevant KPIs and metrics
  • Drive recruitment and onboarding of new team members, as well as workforce planning
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across our six markets, traveling as needed to establish great relationships and support team members, stakeholders, and management teams.
  • Evaluate new and existing products (and take over products not currently managed by IT) and processes to ensure user-friendly and effective systems and processes that support employees across our six markets
  • Provide strategic technical guidance to proactively improve performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness, using industry best practices to contribute to business growth.
  • Act as an enthusiastic driving force for the next-generation data platform.
  • Be part of the IT Leadership Group (and other Leadership Groups from time to time).

Skills & Requirements

Skills & Background:

  • Experienced leader with collaborative skills
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in creating strategies, roadmaps and follow-up on KPIs & metrics
  • A track record of successfully building a data-driven organization and culture, leveraging data insights to drive business decisions and improve operational efficiency.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data strategies, developing and managing data platforms, and creating data pipelines to support various business functions
  • Understanding of operations in cloud environments such as Azure
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technological trends to build and implement a sound technology strategy and user-friendly products
  • Experience in budgeting and business planning
  • Great communication skills and fluency in English and Swedish are required

This is a full-time employment. You will be part of Group IT which is a European function even though we have most of our presence in the Nordics. We have a warm and friendly approach and we love to welcome new members to our team.
