The Conduit Oslo is looking for an experienced Marketing and Growth Director to oversee the revenue segments within the club taking accountability for the strategy and execution to meet our growth targets.

The Marketing and Growth Director will look after the following areas, and will need to demonstrate their knowledge of:

  • Multi-line revenue yielding including, membership, event sales, meeting room hire, and value-aligned corporate partnerships.
  • Expert in managing multiple source generation, both digitally and from internal events, programming events etc.
  • CRM expertise – Complex understanding of how to build and manage CRM flows
  • Digital – Website, website funnels from marketing lead > sales lead > conversion
  • Research and outreach using LinkedIn, identification of relevant sectors, organisations (across private, public, and non-profit sectors), individuals to target new members, and value-aligned partnership accounts.
  • Communications – develop and implement strategic communications cycles to members, newsletter subscribers, and our target audience (across all communication channels) of what’s happening at the club, driving engagement and revenue
  • Creativity in building a commercial operation that combines all of the synergies to drive overall revenues

Purpose, scope & profile

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the commercial activities at The Conduit’s new Oslo club in the newly renovated Otto Treider building in Tullinløkka. This is a building spread over 5 floors and will contain a variety of spaces and environments that will be open to the public, our members, and Impact Partners. Everything from a speakeasy in the basement, to a pizza café on the ground floor and events spaces and members spaces, including bars, restaurants, lounges, a library, and meeting rooms, on the upper floors.

The role will lead membership acquisition, events, outbound corporate partnerships, and marketing and communications and have accountability for the revenue P&L of the club. The ideal candidate will have come from a marketing background (mastering data and funnels is essential) and have grown into a commercial leader that understands the detail, creativity, and drive to achieve results that deliver set budget targets across the core revenue lines at a controlled cost of acquisition.

The team reporting will be the head of membership, head of marketing, head of events sales, and head of impact partnerships.

Overarching

  • Development and execution of our commercial strategy
  • Delivering set budget targets
  • Controlling Acquisition costs to a maximum of 20%

  • Management of Marketing, Member communications, and Campaign delivery
  • Management of the Outbound Lead generation team for individuals and corporate memberships
  • Management of the overarching commercial funnels
  • Management of our digital ecosystem, from website to analytics
  • Partnering with our programme and operations team to drive key business units

  • Responsible for the development, support, and management of direct report(s)
