We are looking for a driven Process Utilities Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent process utilities team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up our gigfactory for lithium-ion battery production and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job
Responsible for design of process utilities for Northvolt Ett, including time management and supervision of engineering design.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Process design of production and distribution of process utilities (compressed air, gases, steam, process wastewater and deionized water). Make decision on design of the systems based on input from manufacturing process engineers.
• Interface with manufacturing process and construction engineers.
• Interface with equipment and installation contractors.
• Process responsibility for control strategy and commissioning of process utilities.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
- A degree in Mechanical, Chemical engineering (bachelor or masters).
- Experience with design and or operation of process utilities systems.
- Experience with process piping design and codes
- Able to read, understand, and review process schematics, construction drawings, P&ID:s
- Familiar with piping standards and fluid and gas transferring components (pumps, compressors, expansion tanks, heat exchangers, fans, piping/tubing, filters etc.)
- 5 to 15 years of experience working within a process manufacturing industry (oil and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical , power plant, food industry, paper and pulp industries).
- Project management skills and excellent in documentation
- Fluency in English, valuable (but not required) fluency in other languages, including Swedish.
- Able to prepare and deliver clear, concise, and simplified presentations to present to various degrees of technicality.
