THIS IS THE JOB

• You will manage projects in the field of Avionics Software, Application Development and Engineering Methods & Tools, according to Work Packages agreed with the client.
• You will lead employees professionally and, if necessary, disciplinary in supporting role, including responsibility for onboarding/offboarding of employees, reviewing and approving of timesheets, conducting annual employee reviews, creating and implementing employee development plans to ensure competencies within the company.
• You will provide expertise and support to the team regarding technical solution approach, quality, and efficiency
• You will be responsible for managing workload variations and project team set-up as well as implementing a knowledge transfer within the team.
• You will contribute to the strategic development of the project portfolio of the Engineering Team for Software Engineering for major Aerospace players
• You will write technical proposals (effort determination and technical elaboration), including resource planning for projects on a transnational level
• You will contribute to the development of long-term and cooperative customer relationships.
• You will define general and specific staffing needs, communicate them to the recruitment team and conduct interviews with candidates.

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED

• Successfully completed Bachelors in Information Technology or Electronics or similar studies.
• Experience of 10+ years in full software lifecycle of DO178 and Design Assurance Levels - B,C,D & E.
• Knowledge or experience with DO254 are considered a plus.
• Experience with Airbus or other major Aerospace OEMs.
• Experience in Programming languages such as C, C++, Core Java and Jscript
• Experience of project management tools and methods; knowledge of the agile approach is considered a plus.
• Outstanding judgment, communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and autonomous way of working as well as hands-on mentality.
• Analytical thinking, structured way of working and ability to work in a team.
• High customer and employee orientation.
• Citizenship from NAHEMA nations required; citizenship from OCCAR nations desirable.
• Willingness and ability to carry out a background check in accordance with LuftSiG §7 and to obtain a security clearance Ü2.
• Excellent command of English language (written and verbal).
