Legal Counsel/ Senior Legal Counsel

We are looking for an awesome Legal Counsel with a focus on corporate finance to join our bold legal team at our headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden, and play a part in our mission to create a greener future.
You will work with the legal and finance teams and your main responsibilities will be related to working with the corporate finance team on a variety of financial matters to support the group’s capital raising, from capital markets to project financing and everything in between. You will also advise more generally on strategic matters with financial impact. This will include negotiating, reviewing, and drafting different financial agreements; assisting the corporate finance team on various matters including setting up financing structure and maintaining ongoing financial relationships, and importantly assessing and balancing risks.
Other work will relate to joint ventures, incentive programs, and other aspects of day-to-day corporate law. Although your main responsibilities will be related to your expertise in corporate finance, you will support all different teams at Northvolt where needed within a wide range of legal matters.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have:

Masters of Law Degree
-
6+ years of relevant experience from a reputable law firm and/or company
- Extensive experience in a variety of corporate finance transactions, both in supporting and leading roles
- A key differentiating factor will be experience with corporate fundraising through a variety of capital instruments
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills, Swedish is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail, without losing sight of the big picture
- Key stakeholder management skills, with creative problem-solving
- Ability to work proactively and independently to efficiently provide high-quality legal support
- Team player with good social skills
- A can-do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines
- Highly organized and result-driven
