The Data Acquisition Team at Smart Eye is responsible for the production of training and validation data for all project teams at Smart Eye. This includes research areas the company is exploring, customer program validation, and continued support for core signals. Data is at the heart of all Smart Eye projects and this role is an amazing chance to be involved with our technologies in a hands-on way.
As a Data Acquisition Engineer, you will be responsible for the setup, calibration and on-going maintenance of recording environments for the local data acquisition team. This can include hardware configuration (Camera construction and mounting, PC building), software configurations (NTP, windows and linux packages), some light electrical engineering tasks (hardware repair, soldering and more) and quality assurance of data being produced (python scripting, manual inspection and other methods).
You will be the main point of contact for data collection projects and be responsible for their delivery. You will lead the local team in daily tasks. This includes leading recordings along with other team members, assisting with recruitment and other tasks.
Skills & Requirements
A technical educational background, BS in Computer Science or equivalent
Experience using windows and linux operating systems
Excellent communication skills (english)
A willingness to learn new skills and approaches in a fast moving, changing environment
Experience leading individuals or small teams
Nice to have
Electrical engineering and IT skills
Experience designing and building PCs or other hardware projects
Research study experience – both logistical and technical
