We are looking for a dedicated MSc Student to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Recycling team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in establishing EV Battery Recycling and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery industry.

About the job

As an intern you will work in the discharge and dismantling team at Northvolt Revolt AB Pilot plant. You will participate in the dismantling process area where you will focus on collecting battery pack data, be responsible for the processing raw data and importing it to a project lifecycle management tool according to company standards. If you are looking for a challenging and ambitious project, you desire to learn new technologies and to prove your skills in a highly technical environment; this may be the internship for you.

Your tasks will include but not be limited to:

  1. Creating and updating battery pack data for recycling(geometrical data, product drawings, CAD models and geometrical interfaces) in Siemens PLM (Teamcenter) and software NX
  2. Using Siemens PLM software Teamcenter; store, maintain and release design data
  3. Perform mechanical design studies and identify process parameters for novel dismantling methods
  4. Extract data from PLM and create dashboard templates to visualize battery pack information

Qualifications

We are looking for someone that has a passion towards product development. You can be quite newly graduated or be someone with several years of experience, the most important thing is that you are enthusiastic about the job! As a design engineer you have excellent skills in CAD/PLM and good knowledge in mechanical engineering. That includes the ability to identify important parameters for battery recycling, collect this data and analyse them. Based on result you are expected to draw conclusions and present these to a variety of audiences in a clear way.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or a M.Sc candidate
  • Knowledge and experience from CAD/PLM tools (Siemens TeamCenter and NX)
  • Fluent English (both oral and written). Swedish is advantageous
  • Good ability to work in teams, collaborate with others and create networks
  • Experience of product support work and product development is considered meritorious
  • Experience from manufacturing is meritorious
