Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an experienced Cleanroom Commissioning Manager to join our passionate Construction team in Skellefteå.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.****
As the Cleanroom Commissioning Manager for Construction at our Giga-factory in the north of Sweden, you will be responsible for overseeing the testing, commissioning and validation of clean and dry room facilities to ensure they meet the Northvolt standards and required regulations. This involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that cleanrooms are built and commissioned to meet Northvolt's specific needs and the relevant regulatory requirements.

You will report directly to the Northvolt Ett Senior Commissioning Manager to ensure integration of your scope within the overall Northvolt Ett Commissioning program, you will manage your own team of Commissioning engineers to successfully complete the commissioning activities for the various projects on site.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and scheduling the commissioning process, including developing detailed commissioning plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Conducting pre-commissioning checks and inspections to ensure that all systems and components are installed correctly and functioning properly.
  • Coordinating with contractors and equipment vendors to ensure that all systems and components are delivered and installed according to the project plan.
  • Performing functional testing and performance validation of cleanroom systems and equipment to ensure they meet the client's specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing the installation and testing of critical utilities such as HVAC, power, and water systems.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Conducting training sessions for clients and facility staff on the proper operation and maintenance of cleanroom systems and equipment.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and facility staff as needed.
  • Communicating project progress and status to clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • A degree in Mechanical engineering or related Field.
  • 10+ years experience in cleanroom commissioning
  • Excellent English written and oral skills
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or large scale cleanroom environments is essential

Bonus points for:

  • Previous experience of carry out cleanroom validation testing and sampling is an advantage
