Model-Based Design and Algorithms team lead

We are looking for an experienced Model-Based Design and Algorithms team lead to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future.

You will work in the BMS System team for the business entity Northvolt Systems. This team consists of 6 people, working together in our Stockholm office. The team's long-term goal is to provide BMS architecture and algorithms for all different systems that are developed by Northvolt Systems. In this role, you will contribute to the Development of BMS functions for ESS and industrial programs.

You will collaborate with system engineering, embedded software, testing and validation teams for successful and precise implementation of customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+) Lead the Model-Based Design and Algorithms team
+) Plan the workload of team members
+) Define architecture of BMS application software and Model-In-the-Loop software
+) Maintenance and update Model-Based Design workflow following different safety standards
+) Ensure the application of the Model-Based Design workflow by team members
+) Ensure the delivery of automatic generated C-Code to Software team
+) Develop BMS functions such as SOX and state controller with Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow from BMS requirement
+) Participate in model review with team members
+) To be key contact between Model-Based Design and Algorithms team and other teams: Battery Cell, System, Software, HIL, Validation, Compliance

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have :

  • BSc/MSc in Systems, Control and Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics or similar fields
  • At least five years of experience as system engineer in automotive / aerospace industry
  • At least five years of experience with Model-Based Design workflow, for application software in automotive / aerospace industry
  • Proficiency in Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow
  • Firm background in electric system and modeling of a such system
  • Experience in requirement handling
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills
  • Experience from a multi-cultural environment
  • Self-driven and team player
