Project Controller Internship

You now have the exciting opportunity to join Northvolt as a Project Controller Intern and help run the finances for Northvolt’s investments in R&D Campus in Västerås.
The role is a part of our business control team in Västerås. With the support of our passionate business control team, you will gain finance, controlling and project management experience from a fast-paced multicultural environment. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun!
Working closely with our Program you will play an important role ensuring project delivery by driving performance and efficiency as well as supporting the team with financial guidance and targets. You will also independently drive projects to improve our financial analysis and take part in analysing variances, develop the ERP system to optimize processes where possible and take part in the month end closings.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You will work with Project Controlling for the R&D projects, including preparing estimates and following up on actual spend.
- You will work together with other functions to prepare the monthly cost estimates of the projects.

You will engage in identifying cost saving opportunities and efficiency gains in our projects.

You will help develop and ensure adherence to our processes.

You will participate in monthly closing of the Västerås Business.

You will assist with ad hoc requests and analysis including financial modelling (excel).
- You will take part in developing overall reporting focused on PowerBI-utilization and commercial KPI´s.

Education/Experience
- BSc/MSc in Finance, Controlling, Accounting, Economics, Business studies or similar

Experience working in controlling or finance is a plus

Experience and interest in manufacturing industry or construction industry is a plus

Experience in working with cross-functional project team
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Excellent English written and oral skills is a must, Swedish is a plus
