PURCHASER/ SENIOR PURCHASER

With the high-speed advancement of our construction projects, technologies and products our Supply Chain function needs to be robust, compliant and quality-focused. Supplier relationships are very important to the successful growth of Morrow, so we are looking for natural negotiators and partnership builders, who have some demonstrable years of procurement/purchasing experience with in-depth knowledge of high-value and complex projects and products.

Joining our high-performing Procurement Team allows you to be part of building, developing, and delivering on our varied procurement needs. You will work broadly in the organization and interact with the company’s business to follow up on defining procurements and needs.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Purchaser /Senior Purchaser that is self-driven, trustworthy, and competent in prioritizing. In this position, you will participate in the review and negotiation of contracts and agreements, Supplier prequalification and administer and maintain the Supplier base.

The Purchaser / Senior Purchaser will be based in the Company’s head office in Arendal on the South Coast of Norway and will report to Procurement Manager.

What does the role involve?

  • Prepare invitations to tenders/enquiry documents.
  • Participate in the review and negotiation of contracts and agreements for battery materials and components
  • Follow-up on contracts, agreements, and Supplier performance.
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services from all company departments.
  • Follow-up of deviations and corrective/preventive measures, evaluation of existing suppliers.
  • Support and interact with the R&D, industrialization, and manufacturing teams with your procurement process knowledge.
  • Improvement of procurement processes; procedures, best practices, methods, and tools.

Skills & Requirements

What do you need to have?

  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Business, Financial, Engineering or other relevant disciplines such as Industrial or Chemical
  • Minimum 2 years of procurement experience
  • Good understanding and knowledge of procurement strategies and execution
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities
  • High level of integrity
  • Fluent English is a must. Additional languages are a plus
  • Have a proactive and pragmatic approach to solving challenges
  • Ability to perform well both individually and in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
  • Work in a structured and thorough manner, with attention to details
