Environmental Specialist (ISO 14001)
We are upscaling our new facilities to spark the industrialization and manufacturing of cutting-edge green battery systems. Our site is automated, state-of-the-art battery modules and energy storage factory based in Gdansk, Poland. It will cater the growing customer demand for green battery systems in the European market.
As an Environmental Specialist you will take ownership of the Environmental programmes centered on health & safety. We offer you the chance to impact our success story.
Key responsibilities:
- Policies and procedures development related to the environment, health, safety, security, emergency, work environment programs.
- Support incidents investigations to determine root cause, required corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant EU and country specific laws and regulations.
- Development and delivery of mandatory and non-mandatory training programs.
- Risk Assessments completion to improve working conditions.
- Reporting potential risks and opportunities.
- Communication with local authorities, contractors and employees regarding EHS information.
- Reporting compliance obligations to all relevant authorities.
- Support tasks assigned by Line Manager

Skills & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, health and safety, industrial ecology, other relevant qualification of relevant expertise

Relevant ISO 14001 knowledge

Fluent in English and Polish

Northvolt is a European supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. Northvolt Ett is a next generation battery cell factory focused on process innovation, scale and vertical integration. Once completed, the gigafactory will be one of the largest battery cell factory in Europe and produce at least 32 GWh of capacity annually.
Alongside Northvolt Ett, Northvolt is also establishing a manufacturing site for battery systems in Gdansk, Poland. This facility, Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, will industrialize and produce world leading battery systems in order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market. The factory is a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions.
We are currently in an exciting fast-growing phase and operate in a dynamic environment, dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. We are staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs in Västerås, as well as Northvolt Battery Systems Jeden, in Gdansk, for production of battery systems. We are also preparing for upcoming positions at the main factory, Northvolt Ett, in Skellefteå.
