Vulnerability Assessment
Detectify is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Vulnerability assessment product domain. This domain is responsible for the core functionality of our Application Scanning and Surface Monitoring products, allowing security assessment of our customer’s attack surface.
The teams in this domain are cross-competence, and have end-to-end responsibility on configuration, orchestration and execution of security tests. Our main mission is to provide valuable and actionable vulnerability insights on our customers’ assets.
The domain lives in the Engineering function, where we strive to create an enabling and empowered culture. Here you will have the ability to make use of all your skills and personality. What you'll get to do
You will play a significant part in taking our product area to the next level by forming data-driven innovative solutions to achieve a world-class user experience. As a Software engineer at Detectify you will have a big impact on the architecture within your domain as well as cross teams. You will get to help the team improve all aspects of the services and components we own.
As an engineer in a cross-functional domain team you will get to think it, build it, ship it, measure it, own it, tweak it, and as part of that:

Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, researchers, and data analysts in a dynamic and empowered product-driven environment

Drive architecture together with your team within your domain and contribute to decisions across teams

Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale

Explore modern software development methods

Participate in cross-team efforts to improve our architecture or development environment
Technologies you will get your hands on:

Event-based microservices and serverless architecture running on AWS
-
Modern development tools across the entire stack: Golang, TypeScript, Kafka, Terraform, AWS ECS/Lambda

Web application crawling through headless browsers, such as Google Chrome

Various kinds of security testing: authentication bypass, cross-site scripting, DNS side channel attacks, etc.
You will have the opportunity to take even more responsibilities over time, and take a leadership role within engineering as the team grows and expands.

Skills & Requirements
Who you are
You love to work in a highly collaborative environment and enjoy learning and solving customer problems together with your fellow team members. Pair programming or mob/ensemble programming is within your preferred toolbox. You have several years of experience working in backend and you have experience in working in microservice or serverless architecture. Even though you have a preference for backend development, you are willing to contribute in frontend when needed.
You are passionate about customer needs and providing them the best solution possible is one of your drivers. You typically come from a background where you are used to working with SaaS products using microservices at scale in a Cloud-First environment, having experience in modern Agile Product Development environments.

Hybrid work
This position is for the Stockholm office. We offer hybrid working, with access to our office in central Stockholm. We think you should be able to work from anywhere but for tax reasons we need you to be located in Sweden.
