We at Sambla Group are looking for an Analytics Engineer! You will work with modern cloud based technologies, such as GCP, BigQuery, dbt and Power BI. You will work in the Data Team and work with stakeholders in all departments of the business.

You will work with focus on data modeling, on how we manage and store our data. At Sambla Group you will work with a focus on Components for security, modeling knowledge and model data for analytical purposes. Working within the data team, and in close collaboration with the product and development team to create conceptual data models and data flows in order to structure the data for volume, speed and accuracy. Work with business and data solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual and logical data models. You will also support the expansion of existing data architecture and the optimization of data query performance via best practices independently and collaboratively

Further on the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the development of different data models

  • Be part of the implementation of RDBMS, data marts, data vaults and data lakes

  • Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.

  • Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.

  • Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.

  • Administer and orchestrate cloud data solutions (on GCP)

The set of requirements we expect:

  • Strong interest in developing data solutions.

  • Knowledge in Data Warehousing, e.g. dimensional modeling, orchestration, monitoring and performance tuning.

  • Strong working skills in advanced SQL, e.g. experience from CTEs, Window Functions, UDFs, Procedures etc.

  • knowledge of master and metadata management and related tools.

  • Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Working experience in Python

  • Working experience in cloud technologies, e.g in GCP/AWS/Azure..

  • Working experience with version control e.g. Git.

Not expected but nice if you have:

  • Technical skills in BI-tools such as Power BI/Qlik/Tableau/Looker etc.

  • Programming skills eg. javascript, Scala, Java or similar.

  • Experience with CI/CD

  • Data Cataloguing (Tool for understanding the data we have. Map out data points we have and where they come from. Different ways of using it)
