About the Department: Delivery Services

Meltwater’s Delivery Services team is responsible for curating bespoke reports and managing key projects of our biggest clients. We deliver business-essential intelligence reports based on our keen analyses of various media outlets across traditional and social media channels. You will be supporting the Government Analyst team and working with a variety of government clients.

Role: Project Manager, Media Insights & Analytics

The Project Manager role is an exceptional opportunity to develop your leadership skills, client servicing abilities, and grow your project management experience, all while thriving in a fast-growing and versatile organization that offers you empowerment and autonomy.

What You’ll Do:

  • Must be a natural leader and a people person, someone who derives fulfillment by influencing others to be successful

  • Mentor and coach the team to develop business acumen, helping them innovate beyond the immediate deliverables to come up with new creative solutions

  • Be a culture champion - build and drive a culture of ownership, accountability and transparency by leading by example, and developing the potential of each team member

  • Initiate projects to improve workflows, operational efficiency, powered by data driven decisions

  • Build organizational structure and take ownership of team’s infrastructure and manpower needs

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously building complex solutions for stakeholder needs, be it for clients, vendors, or internal use

  • Implement the L&D roadmap for the team, including sourcing for useful internal or external training programs to upskill our Media Analysts

  • Utilize your consultative know-how and partner with the Sales teams to qualify business opportunities and project/contract renewal

  • Collaborate across different teams and stay up-to-date on industry changes, to maintain an edge in proposing best-in-class media insights reports and deliverables for clients

  • Review standard of reporting / project deliverables done by the teams, ensuring that reports are sent to clients within SLAs and in an efficient, accurate and timely manner

  • Have strong business acumen to make strategic decisions to move the business forward

Who You Are:

  • Ideally 4 years experience as a team lead or team manager, managing 6 or more people, alternatively running a large project team

  • Ideally with relevant industry experience in media insights / reporting & analytics / Internet operations / social media & listening

  • Some knowledge of SaaS-based media tech and platforms, and media measurement KPIs

  • You are a leader with vision, someone motivated by the success of your team and comfortable being a mentor to a team of 25 Media Analysts

  • Excellent leadership, consensus-building, and conflict-resolution skills – you have a successful track record in building and influencing teams

  • Positive and energetic, able to cultivate strong camaraderie within a team and keeping morale high

  • Proactive with the ability to work on multiple projects with changing priorities in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment with minimum supervision

  • Creative and entrepreneurial, you apply critical thinking to solve business problems using data and analytics – by looking at numbers, trends and coming to smart conclusions

  • Strong analytical and logical skills – able to translate data into actionable insights in a simple and concise manner, have an eye for detail, and ability to ask the data “what does this mean?”

Nice to haves:

  • Some familiarity with different research methodologies and basic analysis methods

  • Familiar with data visualization and dashboard tools, Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, Tableau, etc

  • Preferred exposure to statistical modeling and data mining techniques, and analytical tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc
