In this dual role you will act as strategic partner and wingman/woman to the CHRO as well as a project leader of strategic HR-projects. You report to the CHRO and are part of the Group-HR leadership team.

We are in the process of re-inventing our HR organization to secure we deliver world class support to our growing business. We are off course aiming for the stars, and you are the person that will help us get there! You will be a driver in making our HR-projects come true including helping to set-up our new HR organization. About HR at Scandic
Today HR at Scandic consists of nearly 40 HR colleagues (excluding payroll). We have a decentralized HR organization where the country HR reports into the Country Managing Director with a dotted line in to our CHRO. The Group HR function, headed by the CHRO, consists today of 10 amazing colleagues and we hope to have increased by at least 3 more colleagues by the end of this year. The pandemic hit Scandic hard including the HR organization, but now we have a great opportunity to rebuild it in a way that makes us fit for the future.

Who are you?
We believe you are passionate about HR, and understand what success looks like for a HR-organization and how we create business value in a rapidly changing world.

In this role, you need to have significant project management skills and experience since you will manage important projects and processes from idea to execution. This includes managing relationships on all levels in the organization and being a champ when it comes to change management.

You are a strategic thinker and problem solver, and you can grasp and add value to the CHRO’s vision. You have organizational and political intelligence as well as the ability of simplifying complexity. Are you a self-starter that loves to solve problems with little supervision? Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as Strategic Partner to the CHRO and HRLT (HR leadership team)
  • Co-lead and drive execution and performance of operational and strategic planning, budgets, program investments, and allocations across the HR functional area.
  • Drive and facilitate decision making by the CHRO on the HR agenda, moving seamlessly from strategic thinking to managing tactical issues.
  • Produce high quality materials for Executive meetings that convey messages effectively to a senior audience, as well as producing effective tools and resources for the HR team.
  • Project manage the HR team to deliver against the People Plans and core HR processes as required, ensuring that the HR team are kept informed and key activities are delivered within deadlines.
  • Support the HR-team with their priorities and deadlines, ensuring they are briefed on key issues and deliverables from planning and designing through to execution and implementation.
  • Represent the team across the HR function and the Group - maintain strong relationships with peers across the organization, to ensure that senior management views and strategies are disseminated as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain cadence for key meetings & processes that help drive the organization. Determine logistics of the meetings i.e., the need for the meetings, frequency, stakeholders need to be involved, what success looks like, process to achieve success.
  • Work closely with Scandic’s Head of Strategy to support the strategy process as well as giving input, updates and take actions on the Strategy process from a HR point of view.

Skills & Requirements

Experiences you bring and share with us

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in driving projects, adding value and creating leverage by working closely with the CHRO and the HR organization.

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior HR-role
  • You have substantial experience from Project Management
  • A university degree in relevant areas
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and drive change
  • Proactive mindset
  • A team player with a sense om humor and a lot of common sense
  • A “can do” attitude
