The Team:
If you are our new Legal Counsel, you will be our part of a Nordic team of business minded legal counsels located in Oslo, Copenhagen, and Helsinki. The main workplace will be located in Oslo. It is our hope that you will contribute to an ambitious team spirit with your personal and professional commitment.
The Legal team supports Vipps MobilePay’s journey to achieve its business ambitions while keeping up with regulatory requirements. It runs in the Vipps MobilePay family to make things happen – and it is our aim to take responsibility and support our colleagues across the organisation. We rely on team members individual competencies, but also depend on collaboration – across our team in the markets Vipps MobilePay is present.
To support the business, we work with a wide range of regulatory requirements within important areas such as payment regulation, outsourcing, contract drafting and negotiations, competition law, AML, GDPR as well as corporate law and intellectual property rights.
Your tasks and work areas will - depending your experience and interests - include
- Legal assessments of everything related to being a payments and e-money institute

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts in close collaboration with the business segments in MobilePay as well as driving legal assessments of IT contracts

Close collaboration with product development colleagues, when developing new and reviewing existing products and solutions

Support to the business related to strategic projects and decisions
- Assessment of new legislation within all areas relevant for Vipps MobilePay
- Providing general guidance on legal issues and good governance to our colleagues - doing right and doing it smart at the same time
Skills & Requirements
About you:
You have a positive and open mind, not afraid of jumping into tasks and take responsibility in all you do. In Vipps MobilePay, we are never limited of what we have never tried before – we work as one team and find a way forward!
We expect that you
- have a masters in law and at least 5 years of experience from a full-service legal department, relevant public authority, a law firm or the financial industry
- confident in providing legal guidance regarding main topics related to a licensed entity, the payments regulation and/or contract drafting and negotiations
- are responsible, committed to deadlines and with a strong integrity, and you are motivated by challenging and ever changing tasks
- business minded with strong communication skills, and able to explain the consequences of and see solutions to legal issues
- Have attended a Norwegian law school, and are able to read and understand the Norwegian legislation and fluent in English, both spoken and written
