The Business Sweden team in Tokyo is strengthening the capacity in the area of Battery, Automotive & Materials in Tokyo with an Investment Advisor for Investments to Sweden. The position is based in Tokyo. This role is a part of the investment promotion organisation at Business Sweden with an objective to attract establishments and investments in Sweden from Japanese companies in the battery, automotive & materials. Investments types vary from strategic alliances, R&D, manufacturing establishment, or capital-oriented investments.
The position's responsibility will be to drive business development with relevant Japanese companies and organisations to unlock investments to Sweden. You will interface with senior management in leading companies and explore strategic development plans to match these with opportunities in Sweden. You will work closely with Business Sweden's Investment team in Stockholm and in the APAC region, as well as relevant companies and organisations in Sweden. You will have the responsibility for building a client network, generating meetings, securing site visits and their conversion to job creating investments and establishments.
We believe you have at least 10 years of relevant industry experience and relevant network, from the industry or related organisation e.g. industry association. You have experience from working in an international environment, company or even similar position from other trade & invest promoting organisations.

Skills & Requirements
- Communication skills: Fluency in Japanese and English is required. Efficient internal and external communicator, being able to demonstrate knowledge and articulate Sweden's value proposition to key investor targets
- Sales and business development: and ability to Identify investment opportunities from scratch with new clients and existing clients to build a strong pipeline of investments from Japan
- Collaboration skills; while driving client projects independently, a team player collaborate with clients, colleagues and stakeholders in Japan and in Sweden. Your industry competence and network will also be shared and add value for colleagues in consulting projects
- Project management; being able to drive progress with key accounts and projects in a structured and well-documented way, utilizing the assigned PM and CRM systems at Business Sweden
- Strong drive and self-motivation, ready to walk the extra mile to make an impact for our clients
- Previous experience from deal making and due diligence processes
- Ability to cope with pressure and a high level of flexibility, responsibility, and attention to detail
