We are looking for a dedicated Executive Hospitality Specialist & Event Coordinator to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our Growth team based in Skellefteå. By joining us, you will help contribute to ramping up Northvolt Ett and contributing to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.

About the job
The Executive Hospitality Specialist will take ownership of all aspects of our Disponenten Villa in Skellefteå, from booking to cleaning to event support. Do you live and breathe hospitality? Are you a person who has unusual attention to detail, who thrives on creating extra touches that bring the “wow” factor to guests, who has a reputation of being not only extremely organized but maybe almost too efficient? Have you possibly ever dreamed of running your own bed and breakfast? In short, your job will be to ensure a seamless, high level, memorably comfortable experience for all guests and all functions at Disponenten. You’ll be able to take ownership of the way things run at the villa and work with your stakeholders when it comes to recommending and implementing improvements in both the physical space and the service level around it.

In addition to ownership of all things Disponenten, you will be responsible for planning and managing internal and external events as well as events for the Northvolt Family program. Flexible hours are required due to the nature of the role, and some evening and weekend work should be expected, although in general the majority of your work will take place during standard working hours.

About the team
You will be part of the Growth team, but work closely with the Northvolt Executive Assistant team, in particular the Executive Assistant to the Senior VP of Cell Operations in Skellefteå, but also the EA team in Stockholm, to ensure a consistently high level of service and experience for Executive team and VIP visits. You should have a high level of professionalism and feel comfortable interfacing directly with our VIP guests, many of whom come from outside of Sweden, as well as the very international staff of Northvolt.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Running the booking calendar, keeping the house’s seven bedrooms full with our busy senior staff visiting Skellefteå while making sure that their experience is always comfortable, professional, and of Northvolt level quality.
  • Supporting team offsites, internal meetings and events, high level customer & supplier events, and other external meetings and events at the Villa.
  • Planning and managing internal and external events as well as events for the Northvolt Family program.
  • Arranging and overseeing daily cleaning, as well as pitching in with light housekeeping when needed – changing bedsheets, dishes and kitchen surface cleaning, tidying & organising, and laundry (sheets and towels)
  • Arranging and overseeing vendors including repair people, IT support, catering & event vendors

  • Keeping the house stocked with all necessities, from dinner plates & candles to toilet paper to coffee & yogurt, and regularly running ad hoc errands.

The ideal candidate will also be comfortable planning, shopping for and preparing simple meals for groups of 6-12 people.

_P_ersonal success factors:
The person we are looking for is flexible, enthusiastic with a very high sense of quality and service. Above all you’re someone who is incredibly service minded, possesses an “above and beyond” mindset, and takes a lot of pride in all aspects of your work while believing that no job is too big or small. You’re good at seeing what needs to be done – and then making sure it happens. Qualities that we especially cherish are friendliness, grit and a sense of humor.

About the company

Northvolt makes green batteries for a blue planet. Affordable cells and high-quality battery systems. All manufactured with a record-low carbon footprint. Purposely built to provide Europe with the opportunity to switch to renewable energy – efficiently and entirely.

To accomplish this, we do things differently. We design, manufacture, and recycle everything under one roof. We even build our own factories. All this is incredibly challenging and requires us to think in unconventional ways. We’re constantly experimenting, learning and adapting to make batteries so great – they will one day make oil history.

Northvolt is growing fast. We’re staffing our international office in Stockholm, our R&D facility, Northvolt Labs, in Västerås, as well as our Gdansk facility for production of battery systems. We're also hiring for our gigafactory Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå, Sweden. We want to work with smart individuals from all disciplines. Strong individuals that truly want to make a positive impact on the future. Those of us already on board share a passion for our mission. We’re prepared to work hard in pursuit of excellence. We enjoy the ride and our main drive is to make a difference for real. As a team, we’re dedicated to thinking new, working hard and having fun.
