The overarching mission for Schibsted Marketplaces is to empower people to make smart choices for themselves and future generations. Our marketplaces, including Tori and Oikotie in Finland, Blocket in Sweden, DBA and Bilbasen in Denmark, and FINN in Norway are market leaders and connect millions of buyers and sellers monthly. In order to provide more value to our users and customers we are now embarking on an exciting journey where we are going to transform our services by taking on a larger role and more responsibility in key user journeys. Another part of our new journey is to deliver our products and services aligned across Nordics, hence the need for a cross-Nordic UX writing team, where this role will be placed.
About the role
For this role we’re looking for a passionate Finnish speaking UX Writer, obsessed with user experience and the different user journeys, to help shape the newly formed UX writing team in Schibsted Marketplaces.
Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with your fellow UX writers, designers, product managers and developers, and excel at building strong relationships. Working on marketplace features, you’ll research, ideate, collaborate, get feedback from stakeholders and users, iterate, and test.
In this new role you’ll be ready to roll up your sleeves and make an impact on the user experience. You will be reporting to the Lead UX writer in the Localization dept. in Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces, located in Oslo, Norway.
Who are we looking for?
You have previous experience as a UX writer in Finnish for software companies or similar, with a natural flare for microcopy.
You’ll have exceptional English skills, as you will assist in the creation of English UX content as well.
You are familiar with Figma having used it in previous roles, with an understanding of how different design teams collaborate with writers in this space.
As our products are available in multiple languages, you have a firm grasp of localization and understand how local-language impacts the native user experience. You’ll work with the team of UX writers in other regions as well as linguists in your language to achieve this.
We expect you are up-to-date with accessibility requirements, and comfortable mapping user journeys to identify all touchpoints, to ensure messaging is aligned - always an advocate for the user.
Main duties

Help build the framework for best practices, workflows and processes

Experience working with designers, developers, and product managers as part of the product design process
