Hurtigruten is going through change - change at virtually all levels of the business. We have recently opened a second headquarters in London and are growing rapidly across our commercial and operational teams.
The Role
As our Emerging Markets Sales leader you’ll be responsible for our B2B sales, growing B2C awareness and sales as well as having personal responsibility for all sales staff. This will also include responsibility for budget and turnover.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Professional and disciplinary management of the sales department
Setting and control of sales targets to IR‘s
Focusing on the in-house and external sales teams
Process and interface optimisation
Responsibility for planning, creation and implementation of sales-related strategies and measures both B2B & B2C
Preparation of the annual budget in coordination with the management
Personal negotiation and supervision of key accounts
Expansion and development of additive distribution channels, Business relationships and sales channels inc B2C
Independent planning, organisation and implementation of a wide range of sales promotion measures
Point of contact for internal departments in association with and in the absence of management
Budget responsibility
Project work
Academic and Professional Qualifications :
Completed tourism studies and at least 5 years of experience in tourism.
Business administration studies or comparable knowledge
A number of years, at least five, in staff management
Additional Knowledge:
Understanding of business administration
Very good computer knowledge using MS Office and Salesforce
Very good spoken and written English
Good knowledge of the EMEA and wider cruise and tourism market
