About the role
reMarkable’s main sales channel is reMarkable.com, and in 2021 our ecommerce channel generated more than 2.5 billion NOK in revenue. Despite amazing growth in recent years, we are confident that this is just the beginning, and that our potential is significantly greater. As a Commercial Strategy Manager in our reMarkable.com team, you will be a key resource in delivering on our ambitious growth targets.
The purpose of this role is to help drive the commercial agenda and support the scaling of reMarkable.com. You will be instrumental in identifying, assessing and operationalizing a broad range of both short term and long term commercial ecommerce opportunities. You will take lead and/or support in executing on the prioritised initiatives and you will be responsible for our commercial insights, ensuring that we make our decisions on sound data and analysis. You will follow and track ecommerce sales results and funnel performance closely, both across geographies and customer segments.
As a Strategy Manager for the reMarkable.com team, you will play a key role in strategic and commercial decision making, and work closely with Product Managers and their development teams, in addition to other teams in reMarkable, such as Data and Insight, Marketing, Customer Experience and the other sales channels.
Further tasks and responsibilities
Assess implications of commercial decisions and propose strategic directions
Develop business cases and analysis for new initiatives to guide decision making and assess performance of initiatives post launch
Gather and analyse data and insights to identify commercial opportunities
Track and understand sales drivers to identify root causes and guide focus areas
Lead or support strategic initiatives and workstreams
Follow up and be a sparring partner to team members to ensure we deliver on defined goals
Bring an analytical approach and commercial mindset into all kinds of discussions
Qualifications
Relevant bachelor or master’s degree
4+ years experience from commercial role within ecommerce, management/strategy consulting and/or business development
Experience from ecommerce is an advantage, but not a requirement
Fluent in written and spoken English
Strong analytical skills and comfortable with working with numbers
Used to working with hypotheses, but have a “trust data only attitude”
Strong problem solving skills and comfortable with solving complex projects
Self-driven with an ability to prioritise in an an environment with high pace
Ability to lead initiatives and workstreams
Commercial drive, results oriented and are motivated by identifying and executing on both small and large initiatives
