Toca Life World has millions (and millions) of users around the world with more and more kids discovering the app every day.
We’re looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our team. You’ll be a key player in driving the LiveOps initiatives for Toca Life World and will have a direct impact in the future of the project. The game is massive with a MAU of around 50 Million, creating unique technical challenges and huge impact.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll develop back-end services and drive the development and maintenance of LiveOps in Toca Life World.
You’ll ensure other stakeholders’ needs are captured from a back-end perspective, together working out the development route to take while following the business and technical long-term visions.
You’ll work closely with the Central Tech team as there will be dependencies. You’ll also be demonstrating the usage and value of developed tools and services to team members who do not share your skillset.
You’ll align with and contribute to a culture and set of practices that ensure long-term stability and quality of life.
Skills & Requirements
Is this you?
You’re an experienced Developer who has worked with LiveOps like CMS, A/B testing, Events management, etc. You also have experience integrating third-party LiveOps tools (e.g. PlayFab).
You have a good experience with NodeJS, Typescript, AWS, microservices, APIs, PostgreSQL and DynamoDB. You also have some web front-end experience using React or other modern web frameworks.

This position is full time and based in our Stockholm office with a hybrid working model (part office, part working from home). We apply a 6 month probationary period. You’ll need to be located in Sweden as we are unable to support with relocation. As we’re an international company, with over 20 nationalities working here, and millions of users all over the world, you need to be fluent in English. Your application should therefore be in English.
