We are now looking for an Office Manager to lead Bangalore office and to be part of growing our footprint and presence in India. Business Sweden has been present in India since 1996 and with a team of about 30 employees across our offices in New Delhi and Bangalore. In this role you will lead an engaged team of 10 employees with a great potential to grow. A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is a requirement in this role.
Our India operation consists of 2 locations which are New Delhi and Bangalore. Together, we make up one of the most successful, progressive, and dynamic business units in Business Sweden in the fast-growing economy in the world. Business Sweden is partly owned by the Swedish Government and private industry, a partnership that provides access to contacts and networks at all levels.
We help Swedish companies enter and grow on India market, understand market dynamics, identify local partners, appreciate the regulatory landscape, and build out their services or product offering. We support several industries spanning across Sustainability, Green transition, Energy and Transport, Healthcare and Life Science, Aviation, Digitech, Automotive as well as Retail and Consumer Goods.
What do we expect from you
You will be responsible of leading, developing and inspire the Consultancy team in Bangalore (approx.10 people and growing) and you will report to the Trade Commissioner, India. You will be responsible for sales, delivery, and profit/loss for Bangalore office. You will be working closely with HQ/ecosystems to coordinate on sales and market services for India.

You will be part of a business development team, drive senior client dialogues, and insight driven initiatives of new business opportunities, as well as prospecting and developing customer value propositions. You will contribute to ensuring that we are seen as a trusted advisor, with a clear point of view relating to our clients’ most pressing challenges on the India market. Client dialogues are expected to be carried out independently where you will conduct outreach, proposal development and closure.
You will also scope, lead and deliver projects that provide support to leading Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion in India. The projects involve market expansion, sales support, stakeholder analysis and operational support.
We are looking for a person who has experience from business development, consulting and leading team in various strategic assignments.
Technical Skills:
Relevant work experience, with 10+ years of experience in related business and roles
Higher academic degree, probably a Master of Science in Business, Administration or/and Engineering
A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken Swedish and English is a requirement
Soft Skills:
Successful strategic sales and strong client service business acumen, with a proven track record of developing and executing deals with deep customer insight, strong negotiation and closing skills
Management and leadership experience, leading teams and act as a role model and grow talent by inspiring and developing direct reports
Interaction with external stakeholders, ideally both government and private sector
Self-motivator and accountable team player
Thrive on working on multiple client dialogues and engagements at once, and seek out cross-functional engagement
A Plus:
Previous experience from working with management consulting or other advisory services on Asia market is highly meriting
Previous experience from working in or leading consultancy assignments within any of the following industries: Healthcare and Life Science, Transport and Automotive, Green Energy, Aviation, Digitech
Experience from living/working in Asia is highly meriting
