Backend Developer - Schibsted Nordic Marketplace Jobs
The Jobs vertical within Schibsted Nordic Marketplaces is on an exciting journey! Not only we are reshaping into a Nordic organization and aiming to establish a common Nordic Jobs platform by 2025, but we are also rethinking our products and services to best serve our users, our customers, and society at the same time.
Nordic Marketplaces Jobs is helping people discover job opportunities in three marketplaces; Blocket in Sweden, Oikotie in Finland, and FINN in Norway. We are transforming into a next-generation market by taking on a more significant role and responsibility in key user and customer journeys. We want to make it easy and delightful to find a new job, and help recruiters find the perfect match for their open position.
Are you driven to make a difference during the workday and help people find their dream jobs? Join our team in Sweden, as a Full Stack(Backend) Developer.
Who you are:
We believe you are a full-stack/backend developer with some knowledge and understanding of the front end, with at least a few years of hands-on experience working in a collaborative team environment.
You have a holistic approach to development and a focus on the backend, although you are also comfortable working across the entire stack, depending on the project phases and workload. You can independently lead the development of new features across the stack and enjoy discussing and debating code and solutions with your peers.
You like sharing your knowledge with your cross-functional team and also more junior developers, and above all, you are curious and continuously strive to learn new things. We often work in pairs or in a mob programming team, so collaboration is essential
Hi there, I’m your new Colleague!
Hello there! My name is Manne, and I'm a frontend developer and Team Tech Lead for the "Recruiter team" at Blocket. I've been a part of the Jobb team for a year now and joined Blocket five years ago.
Together with the "Job Seeker team", we're focused on designing and developing the future of Blocket Jobb with the needs of both candidates and recruiters in mind. To achieve this, we have been exploring various techniques, such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Go, Microservices, and Event-driven architecture with Kafka.
We are as a team fully responsible for our vertical in Blocket today, and together with our Nordic colleagues, we will build the future for the Job platform.
Would you like to be one of our Developers?
We hope you are interested in joining our team and we are looking forward to hearing from you! Send your CV or apply with your LinkedIn profile and let us know what makes you tick. Remember to share the link to your Github if you have an account. We are looking forward to getting to know you. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected]
We focus on work-life balance for our employees and offer a hybrid working way with options for a home office 2-3 days a week.
