Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an internship as a Junior Buyer to join our passionate team in central Stockholm.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in building one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.
About the job
The Junior Buyer will be take part in launching RFQs, analyse supplier’s commercial proposals, support in supplier selection process, support the Procure-to-Pay process, implement and follow up on project KPIs. You will also, with the help of your manager and colleagues, negotiate prices and commercial terms with the suppliers.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Building up and maintaining business relationships with dedicated supplier(s), able to self-manage operational level with suppliers with a focus on cost, delivery, and quality.
- Continuous evaluation of supplier’s capabilities and performance versus targets.
- Aiding with various purchasing procedures and administrative activities in connection with contractual documentation and deliverables.
- Supporting sourcing activities for selected categories, contacting vendors, and evaluating bids.
- Work closely with the engineering department to understand the technical requirements and translate this into purchasing needs. You will also have close interactions with the program teams and other functions (Finance, Quality, Manufacturing etc.)

Education/Experience
Currently finalizing your studies or just graduated with a degree in Business Administration or Engineering or similar.
