We are looking for a driven, engaged, and structured person to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our HSE team based in Skellefteå, by joining us you will be a key player in establishing and ramping up of our internal fire department and start-up of the local fire station, you have a unique opportunity to affect the development of our internal fire station.

About the team

You will be a vital member of the Fire safety team in Skellefteå, as the fire station manager, you will work both proactively and reactively to ensure a safe work environment for employees, contractors and consultants working at Northvolt ETT. We will have an internal fire brigade with the capacity of performing both smoke diving and handling of accidents involving chemicals and responding to first aid injuries.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure emergency response can be provided to the organisation.
  • Lead the team of fire officers and internal rescue team staff.
  • Ensure training program for the internal rescue team Is followed.
  • Lead and coordinate both small- and large-scale fire and emergency drills.
  • Cooperate with local emergency services to ensure a good collaboration.
  • Ensure fire station and equipment is maintained.

Skills & Requirements

We believe that you have:

  • Experience in working in Fire rescue service and Emergency response teams.
  • Experience in leading people and working as a manager.
  • Good verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English
  • Experience in working with working proactively within fire safety and emergency planning.
  • Knowledge of LSO 2003:778
  • Driver’s license for car (B)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience as fire firefighter, Fire officer, SMO, Fire safety engineer.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High work ethic and good problem-solving ability.
  • Driver licence for heavy trucks (C
