We are now looking for a Senior Retail Manager who will play an important role in bringing our products to an even wider audience, as we embark on a unique challenge to scale our business globally. Are you ready to join the journey of Norway's most innovative growth company?
About the Role
As a Senior Retail Manager you will play an instrumental role in enabling reMarkable to reach its ambitious growth targets through our retail sales channel. You will have the opportunity to shape our retail footprint on a global scale, working with leading external partners to achieve our goal of bringing better thinking to even more people. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities and building momentum, and if successful you will enable significant growth for a unique brand and products that appeal to a global audience.

As a Senior Retail Manager you can expect to be a central part of where deals are struck and the actions happen. You will be our face outward for our strategic partners, and can expect to be challenged on what’s possible in retail. You will benefit from being supported by a driven organization with large ambitions, and will be expected to collaborate with ambitious cross-functional teams on a daily basis in order to reach our goals.
Further tasks and responsibilities
Lead efforts to expand and develop our retail presence in one or several defined markets, including P&L responsibility
Ensure high quality day-to-day management of reMarkables' global retail footprint, both via internal resources and use of partners
Make effective use of KPIs in order to collect learnings and insight that contribute to improve performance continuously
Prepare, plan and lead negotiations with existing partners, as well as relevant new partners.
Own outcomes through being the point of escalation for partners and local sales organizations in selected geographies
Responsible for partner development via QBRs and other activities
Who are you?
You are a commercial strategist that is used to working on the international stage. You identify yourself as an excellent communicator, driven by a strong analytical mindset and a fundamental curiosity and impatience. With us, there is high pace, a lot of responsibility, and not least a culture of change that characterizes everyday life and this should be something that tempts more than it scares.
We think that a successful applicant will have higher relevant education, and an excellent professional track record. You have experience with international retail and consumer electronics, with a demonstrated ability to manage and impact stakeholders on all levels. A successful candidate is used to navigating organizational context to set clear targets, and excels at navigating and inspiring teams and partners on a global scale to reach them. Some flexibility in terms of travel and working hours in order to achieve this will be required.
8-15 years of experience from commercial/strategic retail organization. It is beneficial if you have experience from working for both brands and retailers
Relevant Bachelor or Master degree
Ability to perform the job independently and with impact, but excel when cooperating with specialized resources along with external partners
Fluent in English - written and spoken
Proven negotiation skills
Great communication skills
Used to working with numbers, strong analytical skills
It is also an advantage if you have
Solid strategic and commercial capabilities and mindset
Strong analytical skills and comfortable with working with numbers
Comfortable with solving ambiguous or semi-complex problems
Ability and willingness to handle operational tasks as well as strategic to help our team succeed together
