Products, R&D and Production business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to simplify operations and spend smarter. This global function creates and executes the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio. Together with other Basware units, Products, R&D and Production ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio.

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to develop and perform software tests to ensure we release the highest quality products that meet client needs. Senior Quality Engineer is expected to perform continuous testing and other quality engineering tasks on Basware solutions. Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, developing and implementing frameworks that improve testing (manual and automated), and debugging and reporting bugs. The Senior Quality Engineer will be required to deliver E2E (end to end) QA testing across a software stack spanning multiple internal and external systems.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with ERP and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Sage, Xero), and knowledge of accounting processes and electronic invoicing (e.g. P2P, Q2C/O2C). Experience with P2P software is a plus (e.g. Basware, Coupa, SAP Ariba)

The Quality Engineer role plays an important part in our product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests during development to validate requirements, performing UAT (user acceptance testing) for product releases, and providing support for customer implementation projects as required.
Responsibilities

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured Test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate and execute testing activities.
  • Develop and/or implement frameworks that improve testing (manual and automated)
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts where possible
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Work closely with internal teams to test new features (e.g. developers, product managers, delivery & support)
  • Work closely with internal teams to provide testing support for customer implementation projects (e.g. delivery & support)
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents as required to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Investigate the causes of software issues and train users to implement solutions
  • Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Skills & Requirements

Our cloud applications are hosted on top of AWS Public Cloud and are used by our clients all around the world. We develop our applications by using technologies like Angular, TypeScript, .NET, Python, Java and RabbitMQ. We use following state-of-the-art tools to develop and deliver our applications into production: Git, Stash, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Robot Framework, Selenium, and Docker. We also follow modern DevOps culture in everyday work we do and utilize DevOps practices like continuous integration and continuous delivery in building our Microservice based applications.

  • Demonstrated 4+ years’ experience with manual with web based software.
  • Automation experience is plus
  • Should be able to create automation framework from scratch.
  • Experience in open source tools with exposure to below is a plus:
  • Eclipse / IntelliJ IDEA/Junit/TestNG/GIT
  • Maven/Gradle
  • SQL / MongoDB
