In the role as Strategy Associate at Sambla Group , you will play an important role in developing our Corporate Strategy, identifying long term opportunities for value creation and supporting the successful implementation of strategic initiatives. You will be an integral part during our M&A processes, from target screening through integration. Further on, you will be exposed to key internal decision-making forums, including executive management, and be a part of setting the roadmap to drive business performance going forward.

You will be a part of our Corporate Development team and report directly to our Strategy Manager.

Further on the role will include…

  • Support in operationalizing strategic governance frameworks and in ensuring successful roll-out of the corporate strategy throughout the organization.

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of strategic opportunities and support in developing implementation plans for selected value creation projects.

  • Evaluate market expansion opportunities and potential additions to the existing product portfolio.

  • Lead market research to understand underlying market performance and provide macro reports to management.

  • Support with M&A agenda, from sourcing potential targets, to valuation modeling, confirmatory due diligence processes and post merger integration.

  • Project lead internal initiatives across multiple functions, including determining accurate operational and financial KPIs, as well as continuously monitor progress to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Prepare analyses, presentations and reports to aid senior stakeholder discussions, e.g. executive management and board of directors meetings.

In the role as a Strategy Associate, we are looking for someone that has 1-3 years experience in consultancy, corporate finance, in-house strategy, in-house M&A, business development roles or similar. We also see that you have been working with highly strategic projects (e.g. M&A, strategy development, launch of new product, large scale product development, expansion to new market).

To succeed in this role, we believe you are a person that thrives in a fast-paced environment, and that you get motivated by taking ownership and working towards ambitious goals. Furthermore, you are also a team player that values a good team culture and collaboration.

Must have:

  • 1-3 years experience in consultancy, corporate finance, in-house strategy, in house M&A, business development roles, product development or similar.

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Industrial Economics or similar

  • Track record of working with strategic projects or project modules

  • Powerpoint & Excel wizard

  • People and communication skills

  • Data driven, with a strong numerical and logical skill

  • Fluent in English

Nice to have:

  • Self going in data tools such as SQL and Power BI

  • Experience from business controlling

  • Experience from bank and broker industry

  • Eye for design

  • Ability to build advanced models in excel with various scenarios, sensitivity analysis etc.

  • Knowledge in any of the Nordic languages
