Accounting Manager BeLux

Job Description

In our Finance Shared Services center in Belgium we are now looking for an Accounting Manager BELUX with several years of experience. You report directly into the Finance Director.
Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of 3 fte onshore, supported by an accounting team offshore.
• Preparing of the quarterly and annual financial reporting package of the legal entities in Belgium and Luxembourg and report towards Headquarters.
• Preparing and filing of the annual accounts.
• Monitoring and coordination of finance processes, in collaboration with the offshore centers. Supervising the month end closing process.
• Signaling risks and report these to the Finance Director.
• Coordinating of internal and external audits, act as a point of contact towards auditors.
• Initiating and participating in process improvements and various ad hoc (international) projects.

Professional Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy/Tax at minimum Bachelor level.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar position.
• Experience as a Team Manager or willingness to grow in this role.
• Working knowledge of tax law and regulatory standards (IFRS, BE GAAP is a plus).
• Advanced in Excel and experience in working with an ERP system.

• Professional communication skills in English, Dutch and French.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into relevant and focused management insights.
• Agile, and able to multitask in a complex context and meet deadlines.
• Able to work in a multinational, multicultural environment.
