We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Quality team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in developing our suppliers of battery parts and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job
The person we’re looking for makes sure we get the right quality from our suppliers to develop the worlds greened battery, and helps our suppliers to develop to excellence. In this job you would be overseeing a huge variety of supplies, such as chemicals, powders, foils, mechanical parts, through sub-assemblies.
About the team
In Labs, our battery cell production facility in Västerås, we develop and industrialize battery cells. The production quality team ensures these battery cells are produced in the right quality, that processes are adhered to, and helps on the necessary learnings before large scale production. Getting the right quality from our suppliers into our processes is instrumental to succeed in our mission.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up quality monitoring procedures, evaluate supplier quality performance and establish improvement plans when needed
- Manage complaints towards suppliers, and develop and validate corrective actions
- Communicate with supplier regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continuous improvement in working relationships
- Lead the charge back process with Procurement, global supplier quality and suppliers
- Maintain a supplier database and scorecards, including performance evaluations

We believe that you have :

A degree in Physics/Chemistry/Manufacturing/Engineering

Experience and specific knowledge of quality management systems, e.g. IATF16949, ISO 9001, TQM

5+ years working experience in Supplier Quality Management

Excellent English written and oral skills
